Hotel Crown Hills Goi

Good value!

For the price, this little business hotel is hard to beat if you're not looking for anything fancy. It's about a five-minute walk from Goi Station. The building and facilities are old, and the rooms aren't especially spacious, but everything was clean and reasonably comfortable. You pick up a yukata and amenities at the first-floor front desk, and there's self-serve welcome coffee. The breakfast buffet has a decent range for a hotel this size.

The bathrooms have been redone and are clean, and the shower has good pressure. There's a welcome drink station open until midnight with coffee, tea, juice, and drinks you can make with shochu or whiskey. You can also use the shared microwave, and paper cups and chopsticks are available in the amenity area. The stay was good value and breakfast was included, but all the rooms were smoking rooms. The building is old, and having to insert the key in the lock to turn on the room lights was a bit of a nuisance. Goi Station's the place to shop for convenience-store items before coming over. They do rent bicycles, though, which makes later shopping runs easier.

It was a short walk, about five minutes, from the station, and there was a convenience store along the way. The room wasn't cramped, the bed was large, and they had all the amenities. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, better than Toyoko's, in my view. Staff were courteous and helped me find nearby parking. All that for a reasonable price made for a really nice stay.
