Aioibashi Bettei

We came to Imari mainly to see Okawachiyama Village, and the staff helped us with directions even though their English was limited. They were so friendly and useful. The hotel feels homey, and it’s only about a five-minute walk from Imari Train Station. We took the SHOWA Bus from Fukuoka Airport, around two and a half hours, and bought the tickets at the airport. It drops you at Imari Station. Our room had two double beds, a sitting space with a TV, and a kitchen with a full-size fridge and freezer, microwave, and stovetop. There was also a washer and dryer, with the bathroom and toilet in separate rooms. Detergent was available by reception for 100 yen. You need a security card for the building entrance and lift, which felt convenient and reassuring. A walk along the river behind the hotel was peaceful in the evening. Max Value Supermarket by the station is open 24 hours, and the ramen place we liked is about a 15-minute walk away, near KFC. I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting Imari.
