The price is really favorable for what you get, even if it can't match a newly furnished hotel. It's an old building, but kept extremely clean and tidy, and the staff are wonderfully hospitable. There's free parking nearby and the station is close. Hot bathing is available, though you might have to wait at busy times.

We were able to walk to the Outer Shrine, and the train station was nearby too. The staff made things easy for our family of three and were especially welcoming to the kids. We aren't fluent in Japanese, but communicating with them was easy. Breakfast was excellent, and we had a wonderful stay at Hinode Ryokan.

I loved staying here. Everything was cared for so well, and the rooms have elegant names. The train station is just steps away.

This little ryokan is close to the station, with lots of food options nearby. The service was lovely all around, and they even have free laundry.

Really good value for a ryokan. The room and bath were both nice, and breakfast was delicious, served on tatami for us to enjoy on our own.
