The staff were polite and professional, and could manage passable English. I also found restaurants within walking distance. The room was a good size and laid out better than many Japanese hotel rooms I've stayed in. It was quiet, with a comfortable bed, and both the bedroom and bathroom were neat and clean. Breakfast was an okay continental spread and came with the room price. I didn't get to try the public bath.

The onsen was a real highlight. When we went around 8pm or later, the men's baths seemed empty, and sitting there with the trees visible through the glass was relaxing and therapeutic. We were also keen to try the big breakfast buffet, which had a wide assortment of food. Don Quixote is right across the road, and there's a great Korean BBQ place within walking distance. The location is great, and I wondered if the hotel was new. The staff were great all around, and for the price it felt well worth it, possibly even a four-star place.

The breakfast was fresh and really good, and UNY mall is a five-minute walk away for shopping and restaurants. Rooms are larger than average for budget hotels around Gunma and Isesaki town. You'll need a taxi to get around, though.

This is a brand new hotel from my favorite Japanese business hotel chain. There's a huge parking lot, a very good breakfast, and a Japanese public bath for guests. It's a convenient choice if you're driving, but very inconveniently located if you travel by train.
