A cozy place with a lovely homemade breakfast. I’d like to stay here again next time I’m back in Ishigaki.

We all got to relax over breakfast in the garden, and the shared space was stocked with drinks and things for unwinding, so we had a lovely evening. There was a bathtub, a hairdryer, and all the amenities we needed, which helped ease our travel fatigue. I was impressed by the beautiful garden and relaxing area. Thanks so much for the friendly dogs and cats. It was such a restful place. Next time, I’d like to see the starry sky and sunset. Thank you very much.

The guesthouse is in a converted private home, so it felt like visiting a relative. The owners were wonderful, and the garden had all kinds of flowers in bloom. On sunny days, breakfast was served on the terrace, which really gave us that holiday feeling. The food was delicious and healthy, with Ishigaki Island vegetables, mozuku seaweed, papaya, and tofu. It’s around a 15-minute bus ride from the ferry terminal, but buses don’t come often.

The friendly Shiba Inu, Hario, and the wayward cat, Tamao, made the stay even more fun. The gardens were beautifully kept, and it felt like a little paradise. I’m getting older and dorms are becoming too much for me, so I was looking for a more proper place to stay. The reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and I found that they were right. I stayed two nights, and the couple were incredibly friendly and made me comfortable. Breakfast was delicious: goya chanpuru with mozuku seaweed, papaya spring rolls, shikuwasa clear soup, Ishigaki Island Hitomebore and ancient rice, guava tea, shikaku beans, hijiki seaweed, star fruit, ear cartilage, mozuku seaweed soup harvested nearby, and sticky millet from Hateruma. It was all fantastic.
