The in-room jet bath was a lovely way to unwind after being out exploring, and the rooms are spacious and modern with beautiful ocean views. Haruhoo Resort Ishigaki feels like a hidden gem. I’d recommend having a car to get around the island.

We really enjoyed staying here. It’s in a quiet corner of ishigaki, with a gorgeous ocean view. The airport is about a 10-minute drive away and town is around 15 minutes by car. I’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms are dated but roomy, and their layout is excellent for keeping neighbours from looking into your view. I liked the nice old-fashioned furniture. The water table in the room can only be used while sitting. There was also an odor, perhaps mold from the air conditioning or aerator, which brought my rating down. Since it’s outside the center, you’ll need a car, taxi, or bus to get around.
