Meguru Ishigaki

The Japanese breakfast was delicious each morning, with a little variation every day. We also had dinner at the hotel once and were very satisfied. MEGURU has a beautiful design and a calm, relaxing feel, and we had a truly special time there and on Ishigaki Island. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, with great tips for local restaurants and shops. We really didn’t want to leave and would love to come back.

We loved the peaceful feel and the beautiful, spacious rooms with their ocean views. The hotel is small but perfectly put together, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast each morning was tasty and nourishing after all the fried food we’d eaten on mainland Japan, and dinner was delicious too. The staff were so welcoming and happy to help, while also giving us privacy and space. It’s in a remote, beautiful spot, but getting around is easy if you rent a car, plan around the buses, or borrow bikes from the hotel. There’s also a lovely beach about a 5-minute walk away. I’ll be recommending Meguru to my friends and can’t wait to return someday. Thank you Meguru team for making our stay on Ishigaki so perfect. From Jessie & Francis x

The calm atmosphere helped us unwind from our first day, and we loved the thoughtful little details in the minimal design. Haruka and Megumi were such lovely, attentive hosts and gave us great recommendations for beaches, restaurants, and cafes. Breakfast and dinner were excellent every day, and the staff were amazing, genuine, and helpful. Their English was great. Meguru is beautifully decorated, clean, and has a wellness retreat vibe. It’s a fantastic hotel, and you won’t regret staying here. Thanks, Meguru.
