The bath could be used privately whenever it was free. At dinner we had Chinese food, including especially delicious shrimp mayonnaise and pickled cucumbers. We left completely full. For breakfast, we could choose Western or Chinese and went with Chinese, which was delicious too. My wife and I visited on a Saturday during a long weekend. It seemed to be a family-run place, with the owner and his wife looking after things. They were friendly and chatted with us, and also gave us detailed directions to tourist spots. I’d been a little doubtful because of all the good reviews, but it really was a great place to stay. I’d come back if I get the chance.

The outdoor hot spring has both a waterfall bath and a reclining bath. I enjoyed it so much that I went in several times. The whole facility was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the owner and his wife were very hospitable. I’ve stayed at a lot of pensions, and this one left me especially satisfied. Every dish at the Chinese dinner was delicious, even the sashimi, which I hadn’t expected at a Chinese restaurant. Breakfast porridge had a gentle, nourishing flavor. I’d happily come back just for that.

The hot springs were lovely, and we had some really good Chinese food.

I’ve been coming here regularly for 35 years. It’s always a relaxing guesthouse, and the Chinese food is delicious every time. The owners remember the little details whether I visit with my partner, my child, or friends, and I always enjoy chatting with them. The owner trained in Chinese cuisine, and his cooking is exquisite. When I mentioned my bamboo shoot allergy, they made accommodations with other ingredients. The breakfast porridge is especially worth trying, so flavorful. It was rainy and cloudy this time, but the cherry blossoms along the street near Izu Kogen Station were in full bloom. If you contact them ahead of time, the owners can pick you up from the station by car.
