We booked only about 15 hours before check-in and ended up having an incredible stay. It's one of the smallest ryokans I've been to, almost like stepping into someone's home. The rooms were gorgeous, and the balcony bath was lovely. Dinner was incredible, and having it in a private dining room felt luxurious. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the whole stay. I'd strongly recommend it for a rustic but luxurious getaway.

After a few days in Tokyo, this was a great place to unwind. It's set in a forest, with nothing to do within walking distance or beyond, so the idea is really to relax. The feeling of peace and tranquility is luxurious, with a private onsen in the room and a private dining room where every meal looks like a work of art. The focus is on fish and seafood.

It's a small hotel, but I had a really good stay. The room was very clean, the staff were kind and gave good service, and using the private onsen while listening to birds was incredibly relaxing. Dinner and breakfast were my favorite parts. The food tasted good, and I was happy with the experience. I think it's worth booking a plan that includes both meals. Walking from Jõgasaki Station or Izu-Kögen stations takes 20-25 minutes. I usually walk around 3-4 km a day, so it wasn't too hard for me, but a taxi may be more convenient.

From the private onsen in our room, we could hear the birds and watch squirrels jumping from tree to tree. That was especially lovely. The food was great, and the whole atmosphere felt soothing. It's a small hotel, but we never saw another guest, so it felt very private. This place is awesome.
