Villent Izukogen

The price felt far too high for such low quality. It was cold, and although bath amenities were supposedly included, there were no toothbrushes or similar items. The bath was meant to be automatic, but there was no hot water, so I couldn't use it. It was very hard to find the parking lot. There were no drinks at the facility and almost no vending machines nearby. I did find one along the road, but the products in it were expired.

I was worried after reading some negative reviews before my Obon holiday stay, but ended up very satisfied. The owner, or whoever answered, picked up the phone right away, which reassured me. The facilities were more than enough, and I was happy with the price. Pets were allowed, and we could use the BBQ as soon as we brought our own food, charcoal, and firewood. A little more cleaning would make it perfect. I'd like to stay again.

The maintenance and service were awful. The slopes were terrible, the stairs had been completely neglected, and the dog run was a wasteland. It's so bad I can't even give it a star. Don't go. I wouldn't stay here even for free.

I booked through Airbnb but couldn't stay because another guest had been double-booked. The owner was drunk and awful. Calling the police didn't resolve anything. Definitely don't stay here.
