The owner was so welcoming and enjoyed chatting with guests. Staying in a 280 year old house built in the edo period was an amazing experience. The meals were simple and delicious, and after a big meal, the traditional bath was a nice way to get out of the cold.

It's a really old style house, and the owners are friendly and very nice. I enjoyed my stay a lot. Such an amazing place, I'd highly recommend it.

I felt at home almost as soon as I walked through the door. The people treated us like family, and the house has been beautifully preserved from the Shogun era. It's a 15 minute walk from the ocean. As a foreigner in Japan, I'd highly recommend this one of a kind stay if you want homemade Japanese food. It's such a special place. ❤️❤️

I've stayed a few times, and it's a really special place. On my first visit, Japanese travelers there told me it was a unique experience even for them. I'm hoping to return as soon as I can.

The walk from the station takes about 20 minutes. I went on foot at 8pm, when it was dark, and got a real feel for the countryside with stars all around. If you have a car, the distance shouldn't be an issue, and walking wasn't a big problem for me either. One thing to consider is the smoke they used to keep mosquitoes away. The mosquitoes weren't a problem, but the smoke might bother you. Tada's parents don't speak English fluently, but they're very welcoming and sweet. They gave me some light food picked from their own farms. There’s a western style toilet and a warm shower, even though it's a traditional house. The atmosphere and the people made this such a unique experience. I'd definitely recommend staying here for that.
