I liked how the tents and wooden cabins sit across the open hillside, giving the place a real mountain-resort feel. The guest-only clubhouse and private decks made glamping easy for me, even as a first-timer. Our tent had air conditioning and Wi-Fi, and the staff were courteous. We also had a BBQ with plenty of local Fukushima ingredients, especially tender Fukushima beef, and there was a bonfire area and experience too. Having admission to Spa Resort Hawaiians included was a big plus. We could mix the hillside stay with water activities, hot springs, and a Polynesian show. The location was convenient for us, about a 5-7 minute drive from the Iwaki-Yumoto Interchange on the Joban Expressway, with a free shuttle from JR Yumoto Station and free parking. Check-in is at 3:00 PM and checkout at 10:00 AM. Next time I'd like to try the "ASOBI Tent" with my kids and its athletic facilities, including bouldering and slides. We'd also like breakfast on the deck in the breeze. When booking, it may be worth checking for perks such as "Admission Ticket Included" or "Fireworks Included."

The tent bed was warm enough for sleeping, and we could heat up at the golf course bath, which made the stay memorable. But the dining space was another story. It was wrapped in plastic and freezing, with one small electric heater that barely worked. The four of us huddled by the grill and shivered while cooking, and the grill's gas outlet wasn't working right either. Staff seemed reluctant to use much gas, and the person collecting it came across as scary. The package included a two-day ticket to Spa Resort Hawaiians, so it was recommended for families with kids. I wouldn't suggest coming in the cold season.

We came over the New Year when it was really cold, but the indoor areas stayed warm and comfortable. There were badminton rackets and shuttlecocks in the plaza, so we had something to do in our spare time. The barbecue meat in the evening was tender and tasty. There's a bathhouse at the nearby golf course, and they also provide a free taxi voucher if you're heading to Hawaiianz, which helped a lot.

We were a family of five and found the place fairly clean, with a great location. The toilets were a few meters away but very clean. The tent zipper made getting in and out a bit awkward, and since the kitchen is used for barbecues, the oil and BBQ smell bothered us some. We had the ASOBI Tent, but it rained, so we couldn't really enjoy what it offers. The kids were disappointed and I felt bad for them. Since the outdoor play equipment is the main point of that tent, I wish they had another activity or service for rainy days. The beef at the barbecue was really good and there was plenty of food, enough to fill us up. The ice cream melted in the tent freezer, though it still tasted good. We were generally satisfied with the glamping facility. Hawaiians is a bit far away, so staying a few nights and taking it easy might work best. With all the swimsuits and other things you bring to Hawaiians, pajamas as an amenity would be nice, like at other hotels.

There was so much noise that I barely slept. A child in the next tent cried loudly from around 1 AM for over an hour while the parents ignored him. Just when it seemed to stop, he started again at 5 AM, and they still did nothing. Then, when I finally fell asleep around 6, golf carts, visitors, and management announcements over a microphone started up. I left exhausted and stressed, with no quiet nature to enjoy. The fireworks were frustrating too. We and another family were playing in the designated area when we were scolded and told things like, "You're burning the grass." A clear boundary line could have prevented that. Our tent had no water bucket for fireworks, and when we put used ones in a bucket in the play area, another family said, "This is ours, so don't throw it away." Management just apologized when we complained. They should have provided enough buckets for everyone. The food portions were extremely small for the price. Our BBQ for three had only three slices of beef and two of pork. Breakfast was similarly short, with only two portions of bread and eggs, clearly not enough for us. My family of three stayed at Mauna Village Glamping after the Hawaiians. Between the service, management, other guests, and the lack of consideration, this was the worst experience I've had. The staff and management seemed unmotivated for the price, and I won't stay here again.
