Our large suite had a lovely lake view, and there was a good range of breakfast options. The lobby felt especially spacious, with nice views and complimentary drinks and popsicles. This hotel also felt much better than the usual chain properties. The staff were polite and welcoming, and although their English was limited, they did their best to help with our requests. The station is some distance away, but the free shuttle there and back made getting around convenient. One thing we noticed was dust in a few parts of the room, even though many other areas were well maintained and clean.

It was my first time visiting this area. We stayed two nights with breakfast and dinner included. The location is reasonably convenient: the Cancan bus takes about 20 minutes from Komatsu airport, followed by a roughly 5-minute walk. With luggage, I’d suggest taking a taxi instead. The hotel also runs a free shuttle from the train station.

For 23,000¥, we got a Japanese-style dinner and a breakfast buffet, which seemed reasonable. The room was spacious with a fantastic lake view, and the decor and general feel were nice. The public natural hot spring bath was clean, cozy, and had a good atmosphere. Dinner was very good, well presented, and made with good-quality food. Service was good too, though the second dish took 15 minutes to arrive. Breakfast was just okay, about what I expected. The escalator hall up to the lobby has a distinctive feel, but the cardboard boxes piled inside the glass souvenir shop at the top spoil it. Getting around is the main drawback. The location is among the worst in the region, and the free shuttle to and from KagaOnsen Station runs only at limited times. There are also lots of run-down ruins around town, which makes walking through the abandoned hot spring area unpleasant. If that atmosphere is what you’re after, I’d suggest a nearby hot spring instead.

The morning views were gorgeous, and breakfast was wonderful, with a nice mix of traditional and Western food. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff were especially kind and lovely.

The room was huge, with lake-view windows, a traditional soaking tub, very comfortable beds, and a cozy fluffy duvet. Free slippers and bottled water were provided. At the hot springs, there are individual lockers. Dinner at the hotel restaurant looked nicely presented, but the food wasn’t hot. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, though the single queue took 15 minutes just to get two items.
