B & B Park Hotel Kagoshima

The price was 11,000¥, including breakfast, lots of amenities, and complimentary drinks and snacks. The breakfast was really lovely, though I came down a bit late, so I can't say much about it. The room was unbelievably spacious and very clean, with a massage chair. The beds are massive, the pillows are nice, and the air conditioning is easy to adjust. The staff were kind and friendly to everyone, and the service was incredible. Everything has been so great so far that I've extended my stay. Love it.

Good hotel in Kagoshima.

There was a big gap under the guest room door, so sound carried easily. Drunk guests talking in the hallway in the middle of the night disturbed my sleep a little, and I could hear the TV next door too. The trams were audible for a few seconds, then I stopped noticing them; passing cars were barely noticeable. The front desk and breakfast area staff were polite and pleasant. For the price, with the free breakfast and great service, I thought it was very good value. Thank you.

The weak spot was the Wi-Fi in the private rooms. It kept cutting out and wasn't as reliable as you'd want, though it did connect early in the morning. It worked if I went over to the elevator stairwell, but I wondered if standing there too long would look suspicious. I also wasn't comfortable wearing slippers that previous guests had probably used barefoot. Could they provide simple disposable ones? The hotel is entirely non-smoking, and the front desk staff were pleasant. Breakfast was a satisfying Japanese meal rather than anything extravagant: freshly cooked white rice, freshly fried eggs, warm miso soup, and a range of small side dishes. Fans of Japanese food should be happy. The cheerful voice of the mother in the dining room made for a lovely morning.
