From the hotel, there are great views over Amu Plaza to Sakura Jima. It’s a great business hotel, just steps from the west exit of Kagoshima Chuo train station.

I rode my bicycle all the way from Hokkaido over 88 days. The ride to Kirishima wasn’t great, and I recommend packing up here and taking a taxi or rail to the KOJ airport. You can leave your bike at the paid storage under the train, just around the corner. It was 100¥, no problem. The hotel itself is in an excellent spot next to BIC and all kinds of shopping. They kept my luggage until 2pm while I went to get Christmas gifts and eyeglasses at JINS.

Follow the gates to BiC camera underneath the Chuo station and the hotel is just a few meters away. The staff are nice, and the breakfast buffet has a decent variety. I’d say it’s worth at least 1000 yen. The rooms aren’t five-star spacious, but for the price I think they deserve five stars.

The room was quite spacious for a business hotel, and the service staff were friendly. JR station is right next door, with a big shopping mall and walking streets nearby for food and shopping. There’s also an information center inside the station where you can ask questions.

The hotel’s big plus is being right next to the JR station, handy for going to another city, and the view is nice. The room is cozy but still enough for two. The air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted and felt a bit too hot for autumn, so I had to open the window for fresh air.
