Residence Hotel Kamoike

We stayed here during our three months traveling in Japan, and it was one of the best places of the trip. The hosts were easy to reach, quick to respond, and always helpful. The apartment was spotless when we arrived, had enough towels, and plenty of storage space. It was quiet despite being near a main road, and we couldn’t hear the neighbors. The balcony was large with a nice view, and the elevator worked up to the sixth floor. We especially enjoyed the bikes, which we used to explore the city and Sakurajima. The apartment is a five-minute walk to the nearest bus stop, tram station, and big supermarket, and about 10 minutes by tram to downtown. One bed was softer and one firmer, and both were really comfortable. There were several blankets and sleeper-friendly pillows. It’s packed with newer tech: a Beamer for movie nights, with logged-in Hotel accounts for several streaming services, plus a fridge, microwave, rice cooker, coffee machine and coffee, kettle, stove, and multi-plugs. There’s also an air cleaner, humidifier, new AC, and central ventilation system. We’d gladly come back.
