Hotel Kamakura Mori

I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and calm the staff were. Their manner put me at ease, and breakfast was tasty: I chose the Chinese option and enjoyed the congee. The hotel is near the station, and though it's not new, it's clean and well maintained. My room was spacious and comfortable, with good shower pressure. The heating was on when I checked in, so it was already warm, and hot water for tea was ready. There were cold glasses and canned water in the fridge, a nice touch. I worried a bit because every room is smoking-only, but I didn't notice any cigarette smell. I stayed for one night over the holidays and was very satisfied. I'd gladly return.

I booked a plan that included a shark fin course. The room had a sense of history but was kept clean and comfortable. The Chinese course was delicious and good value for its quality. Thanks for taking such good care of me. I'd love to stay again.

I was close to giving up on this place after finding the other hotels either booked out or expensive. I'm so glad I eventually came across it and chose to stay. The location is fantastic, about a three-minute walk from Kamakura Station, with Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Komachi-dori Street within easy reach. Breakfast comes in Japanese, Western, or Chinese styles, and each option is filling and satisfying. The staff were warm and welcoming, just like the restaurant, and made the stay comfortable. The room had thoughtful personal touches, including an engraved first piece of paper, a thick bathrobe, tea, snacks, and even access to USEN. It was unusually quiet, with hardly any other guests around. I'd never had such a comfortable and happy stay at a hotel before, and I'd definitely come back.

The location and amenities lived up to the strong reviews, and I appreciated the thoughtful room assignment. I would've liked orange juice with breakfast.
