We were really happy with the crab’s freshness and the generous portions, as always. We’ve now visited five times, and this was the first time in a while that my wife, daughter 🐕️, and our dog 🐕️ could come along. The meal was a feast: seasonal sashimi, crab sashimi, crab with vinegar, sake-steamed crab, crab miso, crab hot pot, and crab porridge. The mud shrimp and sweet shrimp in the porridge were especially good. The bath was relaxing and fed by free-flowing water, and the dishes made with vegetables grown by the proprietress were incredibly tasty too. Fishing for Kasumi crabs is prohibited from June, so we hope to return once the season opens in September. We’re looking forward to chatting with the proprietress again.

The rustic hot spring inn gives crab a different character from Kinosaki. I had the full course and was very satisfied, especially with the boiled crab and crab shabu-shabu. The rice porridge at the end was filling, too.

We were amazed by how luxurious the food was for the price, and we could enjoy dinner in a private room with a partition. The kids’ lunch was disappointing, though. The room was very clean, but I’m concerned about the details. It seems there may be a lot of dust mites in the futons or tatami. Since we got home, everyone in the family has been bitten all over and is really itchy. Please check the dust on the bathroom fan and inside the room’s air conditioner, too. I know mites can show up this time of year even when precautions are taken, but I’d appreciate your help getting rid of them.

The service felt as warm as a grown grandchild visiting grandma after a long time away. We had a red snow crab course with sashimi, boiled and grilled crab, hotpot, and rice porridge. I was so full I felt ready to burst, but managed to eat every last bit of crab. The tapered chopsticks somehow made it all taste even better. The room was great, the people were nice, the food was excellent, and the bath was lovely. By chance we had it to ourselves, so I stayed a long time. The morning bath was wonderfully refreshing, and the shower timer was just right. There were plenty of amenities in the room and bath, though there’s no refrigerator. I wish the slim shower head were easier to grip. The inn is only a few minutes’ walk from the beach, but the road there is narrow, so take care. That’s why I’d give the location two stars. There’s no elevator, and the stairs are a little steep. At first, the previous day’s cooking smell mixed with the new building material smell, which wasn’t pleasant, though it didn’t reach our room. There was an air purifier in the room, and by dinner the smell of a crab restaurant had taken over, which was nice. We were very satisfied with the inn overall.
