Wan WanParadise Premier Nanki Shirahama

The sea view at sunset from the bath was beautiful, and dinner was a course meal that we could enjoy with our dog. This was my first time at Wanpara, and it really does feel like a dog-first hotel. The staff clearly love dogs. The dog run was spacious and easy to use, though I was a little concerned by construction going on around different parts of the grounds.

The main plus was being able to keep my dog with me the whole time. The food wasn't bad, but I still left disappointed. I paid 30,000 yen for one adult, and the room had dog hair left by the previous guest. The yukata robes didn't match well, and we had to make our own futon. It's on the grounds of a former golf course, but there's no particularly close sea or great mountain view.

The dog run was roomy and the lawn was well kept, so we felt comfortable letting our dog play. The staff were polite and friendly, and made the stay very comfortable. We enjoyed the food, and both the family bath and public bath were just the right temperature. We'd be happy to use this place again. Thank you! (=ﾟωﾟ)!

Our dog loved running around, and the spacious grounds were great for walks. The staff were very friendly. Finding the entrance was a hassle, though: it goes through a residential area, while Google Maps kept taking us to the outer moat. The building seems older and renovated, which would've been fine if it had been clean. Before settling my child down, I noticed something that looked like feces or urine on the sliding door, though I'm not sure what it was. I took photos of dirty spots so they couldn't say we'd made the mess. The public bath shower pressure also kept going weak at times. The food portions were small, like banquet fare at a major budget hotel. That actually suited us, since portions often feel too large these days. The price is cheap, but I don't think I'll buy again.
