We had a lovely stay at Yado Nakaya. Dinner was outstanding, beautifully plated and full of fresh seasonal flavors. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying too. The hot spring was clean, peaceful, and wonderfully relaxing, making the visit feel even more special. We appreciated the hotel's warm hospitality and quiet atmosphere, and would definitely love to come back.

The staff were exceptionally well trained, and the proprietor was consistently kind and appreciative. The food was truly special, especially if you enjoy Japanese cuisine, and the local ingredients made it even better. I was disappointed that the pool was closed, since I had specifically searched for places with pools. Still, the rooms, service, private bath, and magical stellar musicians made our eighth anniversary stay very special. Thank you all for taking such good care of us. We hope to return! Ciao ciao

The front desk and restaurant staff provided good service despite having limited English. My only comment is that the WiFi was unstable, especially in the room, although the connection was good at reception and in the restaurant.

At checkout, the hotel added a 10% service charge. The hotel's website didn't mention a service charge, and it wasn't listed in the booking confirmation either. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kamogawa.
