The local host knows the area well and helped me feel at home with useful information. The place is a recently built take on a traditional Japanese tea-house style stay. From the property there’s a lovely river view, and in spring you get a great view of the cherry blossoms along it.

A traditional Japanese house right by the river, with bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. It’s centrally placed near the samurai village and temples, and much nicer than squeezing into a cramped hotel.

Relaxing, clean, and close to the centre.
