It felt more like staying in a little village cabin than a hotel. The location is handy, just a short walk from the train station and even closer to the bus terminal. There’s an elevator, and the luggage wardrobe is a nice touch. The door locks itself when it closes, even though you open it with a regular key. The room worked well for one person, but sharing the smaller-than-usual business hotel bed with someone else wasn’t ideal. The shower cabin is very good and separate from the toilet, though the sink is oddly in the room. Furniture is old, but the TV is great for watching YouTube. The room has all the amenities, with extra coffee and tea available by reception. We got a warm welcome, and the early check-in was much appreciated. There’s also a tiny balcony. Cleaning could be better, especially if you look up at the corridor lamps.

I’m a pretty large guy, but even in the small room I was comfortable. It had all the comforts of home, and I slept like a baby. Such a cozy place to stay. I’d recommend it.

The Japanese breakfast set was delicious and got our trip off to a good start. We were here on a family trip, and the staff were really helpful, sharing tips for nearby places to eat and visit. Our room was clean, with a roomy, comfortable bed. It was easy to head out by car to Rainbow Pine Grove from the parking lot, and we enjoyed an evening walk near Karatsu Castle.

The public bath is roomy, though there’s nothing especially remarkable about it. I only used the shower in my room this visit, and the water pressure was a little weak. Brighter lighting in the room would help too. The building looks a bit dated, and some furnishings are old, but they’re fine for a business stay. The guest rooms themselves have been thoroughly redone and feel pleasant and very clean. Amenities are all there, and the beds are made with care. The front desk and cleaning staff were very helpful, so I left highly satisfied.
