Hotel Route-Inn Kashiwa Minami

Breakfast service was amazing, and communication wasn't a problem for me as a foreign visitor. There's a shopping mall nearby where you can find just about everything. The hotel itself was quite good and quiet, but it's a little far from central Kashiwa. Getting to either Tokyo or Chiba felt confusing and tiring until I arrived.

The hotel was convenient for a late check-in, and there's a huge mall nearby. It has the best Round-One fun center I've been to, with sports, karaoke, segway, rollerblading, golf, an electric bull, and lots of video games, all for one low price. It was super fun, and I recommend it for the whole family. Staying here and visiting Round-One would make a great family weekend. My room was beautiful, clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The small onsen was very clean and felt wonderful. The water in the room smelled like onsen water, but it was drinkable. Breakfast was pretty good with lots to choose from. They seemed careful about coronavirus, with alcohol sanitizer in many places and gloves required at the buffet. If the front parking is full, there is parking behind the building.

I've stayed with this hotel chain many times over the past few years, and I'm starting to see a pattern of poor service toward foreigners. They asked for my passport but never told me about the hotel's services. It felt like staff were more concerned about foreigners than about customer service.
