HOTEL IKOI (Adult Only)

It was my first night there, and at the front desk they asked whether I'd prefer a cottage or a D-rank room for an upgrade. When I asked which was better, the reply was, "That's a matter of personal preference!" The staff member sounded unpleasant and a little intimidating, making several annoyed faces. The other staff were smiling and helpful. That one staff member's public-facing manner was so off-putting that just thinking about it makes me feel sick.

I used to be satisfied, but the food has fallen so far that I wondered if this was even the same restaurant. The risotto was watery, more like rice in soup than risotto. The katsudon seemed smaller than before, had way too much broth, and smelled strongly of spoiled oil. I couldn't eat it. I don't expect hotel food to be amazing, but this was well below an acceptable standard. I strongly want them to improve it.

The mini salad is so misleading in the photos that Komeda Coffee would cry. When it arrived, I was thinking, "Mini!?!?!" I won't post a picture and spoil the surprise. Definitely order the Wagyu steak and mini salad. You won't regret it. The food is beyond what you'd expect at a love hotel.

The reception staff are really friendly. And having sex outside in the open-air bath on the balcony of the 6th-floor room, with the bypass and Kawaguchi nightscape in view, is the best.
