It really does live up to its name, Kriness, meaning cleanness. The place was incredibly clean and had the feel of staying in a family home. There’s a good connection to the city center and good ramen just around the corner. If you’re traveling on a budget but still want a private room, this place is worth checking out 👊🏽
The hotel is a bit of a trek from Kawaguchi Station, and the restrooms are shared. You also have to pay extra for hot shower water. Still, staying here gave me a strong sense of community and a real experience of Japan. The staff did their best to help when I lost my wallet. The cash was all gone, but my ID and credit card were still there, so I was lucky. I’m extremely grateful to them.
