Nishikawaguchi Station Hotel Stay Lounge

The room is quite large by Japan standards, and the shower room is huge, though extra furniture takes away some of the usable space. The location also worked out better than I expected: it’s closer to the station than the map suggests, with restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast comes as either a bento or bread, but you have to pick up a Japanese or Western voucher at the front desk the day before, then hand it in at the breakfast area to get that meal. I assume they do this to order the right number from a third party. The portions are tiny and there’s hardly any protein. After going twice in a row, I didn’t bother getting another voucher. Staff didn’t speak English, so communication was kept to a minimum and a lot went unexplained. I only noticed the laundry on checkout day. Cleaning is every other day, and you have to leave your room key at the front desk when you go out. Those rules weren’t explained very clearly.
