The room can fit three suitcases, but getting there means a bit of a walk from either station. We couldn't check in before exactly 3 pm, and outside noise came through. Even after cleaning, there was still a cigarette smell, plus stains and a little dust you could see on the wall or lampshade.

Pigeons were cooing outside my window around 5 or 6 in the morning, as someone else mentioned. Worse, smoke kept coming into the room through the air conditioner. The smell was awful and kept me up all night. I also couldn't stomach the slop they called breakfast.

For a two-star hotel at just US $50 a night, this is good value. It's about a 10-minute walk from the JR station, with the shopping street and plenty of places to eat nearby.

A small, cosy unit with friendly staff, and they put out an abundant breakfast. The 100 Yen curry for dinner was fantastic!
