The owners are a lovely couple, the husband from Argentina and the wife Japanese. They both spoke English, so communicating was easy. The place worked really well for what our group needed. I stayed one night with seven other foreigners during a cultural exchange event. We had the whole upper-level suite, which was clean and came with drinks and snacks. There was also a small kitchen with a toaster we didn’t use. Sharing one washroom and bathroom among eight people was a little inconvenient, but the owner made up for that by giving us free access to the local public bathhouse. That was a nice experience in itself.

Gabriel (from Argentina) and Yuko (from Japan) are a lovely, welcoming couple. They keep the house spotless, speak English, and explain how to live like a Japanese in this historic gem. It’s a very old detached Japanese house with tatami mats and shoji sliding doors, alongside a new kitchen, living room, and bathroom. There’s parking behind the building, and it’s in central Kiryu, so you can explore the historic town on foot. Staying here feels like living as a Samurai, with modern comforts like a fridge and washing machine.

The evening was completely awesome, with no negative points. We didn’t stay overnight, just came for dinner. The owners, Gabriel and Yuko, are lovely and warm, and that made the food taste even better. The place has a cozy mix of Japanese and Argentinian culture, set in a traditional Japanese house that’s over 100 years old and full of Argentinian details. Keep up the good work!

Such a wonderful guest house, a breath of fresh air after the bustle of the big cities. The husband and wife who run it are the loveliest people, and you’ll enjoy their food and accommodations. They only rent out two rooms at a time.
