From the outside, it might not look like much, but this small hotel gave us an awesome stay. The staff were respectful and attentive to everyone. Our room was huge, and staff set up the mattresses for us. Every room faces Japan’s east coast, so if you get up early you might catch the sunrise. At the restaurant, each family member had a personalized meal, including special options for the children. The Japanese food was delicious, and some of the waiters spoke English. The onsen was comfortable, though not as big as I expected.

We slept really well with the sound of the waves outside, and enjoyed breakfast a lot. This small onsen hotel is tidy, with a cozy, modern-rustic feel. Every room looks out over the Pacific and the huge boulder Futatsushima.

You don’t have to stay overnight to use the bathhouse, since lunch or dinner guests can use it too. The restaurant has a panoramic ocean view, and the meal included fresh seafood.
