Dormy Inn rarely lets me down. The rooms are always immaculate and the onsens spotless. I've never managed to stay awake for the free ramen, but those little touches make a stay great.

For $80 a night, I had more than I needed. I expected the usual single bed for a solo traveler, so getting a double was a nice surprise. The room looked modern and was clean and tidy, with plenty of towels, a phone charger, a mini-fridge, and other useful amenities. They even serve complimentary ramen in the evening. Check-in and checkout went smoothly despite the language barrier, and I could walk to the train station in under ten minutes.

The breakfast was delicious, thanks, Chefs! There was a big manga collection on 2F. The place was adequate, but very crowded, and the check-in system wasn't user friendly for foreigners.

The front desk staff are friendly, and it's a nice enough hotel. I liked that you can get extra pillows in different firmness levels, and the onsen was good too. They serve ramen at 9.30pm every night, which I thought was cool. Breakfast was good, and I'd stay again if I come to Kitami.

The rate for a room with breakfast for two was very competitive, so we couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was good, and the service is why I give it five stars. I had a small, clean and tidy room on the highest floor, with a window looking out over the city.
