Kobe Luminous Hotel Sannomiya

The room was clean, the bed was fair enough, and the price was reasonable. It’s only a few minutes on foot from Kobe Sannomiya Railway Terminal, with plenty of restaurants and eateries nearby. I’ll stay here again.

It’s easy to walk to the train and bus stations, shopping, and restaurants, and you can walk to the waterfront too. The room was clean, but small, with a TV, little refrigerator, and water kettle. That was about it. There’s no instant coffee, just two tiny cappuccino packets, so bring or buy your own. For the price, they should at least provide coffee. The bathroom was tiny, smaller than one on a cruise ship, really. The towels were terrible, thin and so small they looked like they could be paper towels. They should provide nicer bath towels for what this place costs. There’s a small breakfast buffet. It was adequate, but not very varied, and several items ran out without being refilled, even when it wasn’t busy. Disappointing when we’d paid for it. Bottled water meant going to the lobby. I don’t know why housekeeping couldn’t leave two bottles in the room. The last motel did. The laundry room was nice, but we might stay somewhere else next time, maybe near the waterfront.

The breakfast area was spacious and comfortable. My rooms were lovely and well maintained, aside from a small carpet stain. The Chinese front desk staff member didn’t seem professional, but the Japanese lady the next day was very kind and helpful.

The staff were lovely, and for the location the price was reasonable. It’s a nice little room, though the pillows and bedding felt quite firm. Thank you :)
