2/10
The vending machine took our money and broke, and the staff wouldn’t help us get a refund. We were also pushed out of the empty dining room after 15 minutes, and later thrown out of the lobby coffee shop for no clear reason. Even though the hotel was empty, they wouldn’t let us check in early. When I complained, they smiled and said the manager wasn’t available. The hospitality was the worst I’ve experienced, almost to a comic degree. Anyone staying here should expect a nightmare.

The location is good and the staff are nice, but the facilities are poor. My room was clean, though everything felt old and basic things like coffee and water weren’t provided. The bed was small and uncomfortable, and the pillows were extremely hard. After three nights, I had a neck ache and left very tired from poor sleep. Music played loudly in the hallways from 7am to 8pm and could be heard in my room, making it hard to relax during those hours. It was okay overall, but I can only give it two stars because of the sleep and neck pain.

It’s in a great spot, with easy access to the sights around kochi.

The staff were professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The hotel was quiet, comfortable, and super clean. We stayed at four hotels in Japan during our holiday, and the Pacific was our favorite.

The rooms were modern and squeaky clean, and Kochi station is only a short walk away. The price was reasonable too.
