Centia Hotel Naito

Very clean room and a good place to stay. It felt small for me as a European man, but after two or three days I got used to the space.

The breakfast came in small bowls and was really satisfying. We were visiting for a casual festival, and the staff kindly let us leave our car in the parking lot well before check-in, then keep it there until after lunch following checkout. That was a big help. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but the service was excellent, and I'd stay again if I get the chance. 😊

The breakfast had so many little dishes that I couldn't try them all. There were Yamanashi favorites like Hoto noodles, chicken rice, curry, and soba, plus desserts including pudding, warabi mochi, strawberries, and pineapple. My spacious double room had a sofa and other amenities, which I appreciated. The hotel is a little far from the station, right at the edge of the downtown area. They also offered complimentary welcome drinks and over 30 manga titles, mostly well-known series.

The reception staff were great, and I appreciated the range of amenities, the room size, breakfast choices, and affordable rate. It's within walking distance of the station and close to the downtown area. The smell was a problem, though. The hallway smelled dusty and poorly ventilated, and the room smelled too, though not as strongly. Cleaning also seemed to have been missed: small packs of Kinoko no Yama chocolate snacks were left behind the TV, and there was dust on top of the wallpaper. At breakfast, I turned over the "Meal in Progress" card to get other items. When I finished, staff had cleared my plate, unfinished drink, and card, then left an alcohol spray and cloth in front of me.
