Overnight guests and day visitors can rent private indoor or outdoor onsens. I couldn't find anything about the tattoo policy on the website.

If you're heading to Mount Gozaisho, this is well worth a try. The setting is lovely, and the price is affordable. I especially liked the indoor bath's mountain view and the outdoor bath tucked among nature. There are plenty of amenities, too, and the whole visit was a great experience.

After hiking Mount Gozaisho, I stopped in for the onsen. It was only 1000yen and nothing fancy, but I came out feeling renewed. Simply amazing.

The staff were well trained and polite, and the food was good. I also enjoyed the hotel's onsen baths.

The sauna is missing, and getting between the baths is a hassle. The bath and hot pool are on the 2nd flr, while the rotenburo is on the 5th, so you have to keep dressing and undressing.
