I booked at the last minute while traveling on a budget, and the whole stay went smoothly apart from the slightly late 4pm check-in. The OTA ratings were pretty high, although the Google reviews seemed a bit out of date. Wi-Fi worked fine, and staff were on duty around the clock. If you’re after a clean, well-located place and aren’t expecting luxury, this is a great choice.

This was a nightmare, far worse than anywhere else I’ve stayed around the world, including India, Myanmar, Vietnam, and China. There was no Wi-Fi in this “business hotel,” the bathroom door was broken, and the bed was unclean. Before anyone tried to properly talk through the issue, they insulted us out of nowhere and verbally abused us, saying, “I want to see your mother's face.” They made a false accusation, held our luggage unless we paid “cleaning fees” for something we hadn’t even done, refused to investigate, called us stupid liars, and threatened to call the police. It felt like dealing with scammers. Beyond horrible, an absolute nightmare. Do not stay here.
The only real plus is the location in the entertainment district, with convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Otherwise, it’s an old hotel with thin walls and especially bad plumbing. The bathroom drains into the bathtub, and the water has a lot of mold.
I was here on a business trip, and the staff were all very kind and gave excellent service. The hotel is tucked back from the main street inside Kumamoto's downtown arcade, so it’s quiet around the property and in the hallways. Still, the main street is only a 3-4 minute walk away, which makes going out at night easy. There’s a FamilyMart right in front, and the front desk is open 24 hours, even if you come back late. My room was spacious enough for one person, and the air conditioning suited its size. It cooled the room quickly in summer, and I think it would be fine in winter too. Incredibly convenient, and I highly recommend it! 🏙️🛌🏢😁
(2025/05/23) I got to use a twin room by myself, so there was plenty of space. The room had stove-like equipment that I couldn’t use, almost like a one-room apartment, which was a bit interesting. The main downside for me was having to leave my key when going out. If you come back drunk, that could feel embarrassing. Still, for the price, this is a good hotel. It costs little but has what I’d expect from a regular business hotel, and it’s very close to Kumamoto's downtown area with convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
