Hotel St Palace Kurayoshi - Vacation STAY 82276

For a business hotel built around efficiency, this is about as good as it gets. It isn’t a traditional five-star hotel, but it deserves five stars for what it is.

The room was clean and the food was good. The train and bus station are nearby.

I came here hoping to get some rest after staying in hostels, and couldn’t sleep at all. The A/C didn’t work. I tried videos and Google Translate, but the thermostat said no A/C was available. Maybe the cheaper room didn’t include it, but I’m not sure. Opening the window brought in more noise from passing cars and barking dogs. There was also a leaking shower making noise, plus a doorbell-like contact chime I could hear from what seemed to be the next room. I didn’t want to deal with the front desk because of the language barrier. Terrible experience.

For my work trip to Kurayoshi, the location near the station was convenient. The front desk staff were professional and very helpful. My room wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped, though I suppose that’s normal for a business hotel.
