Kusatsu KOTODAMA

We had a really enjoyable stay here, thank you! The room was clean and affordable, and it was easy to walk from the bus stop to the place and into the yakuba town area. Our host was attentive and friendly.

The walls are traditional Japanese paper, so noise does carry. We could hear someone snoring a floor above, even though everyone seemed to be trying to keep things quiet. Still, we had a very pleasant stay. The old house is cute and exceptionally clean, and our private room was spacious. It had a kerosene heater with a bit of a smell. The price was great, the internet was very fast, and there’s a full kitchen.

The shower had good pressure and temperature, and the fridge and common areas seemed clean. Staff were friendly, shared useful information, and let us check in an hour early. The other guests were noisy while getting ready in the morning and woke us up, though that wasn’t the property’s fault. Towels cost extra to rent, and the weekend price felt high for what you get.

The location is great, very close to the bus terminal. Inside, the wood design is lovely and made me feel calm and comfortable. The staff gave us a nice guide. I especially liked the light in our space, since you can change its color and adjust the brightness. I could also put my cell phone on the edge.
