Chalet Ivy Hirafu

The room was spacious and quiet, and even had a toilet seat that opens automatically. We appreciated the ski lockers downstairs and the tasty buffet breakfast, which was well seasoned, not too salty like the one at our previous hotel. Ace Gondola is just a five-minute walk away, and there are free indoor and outdoor onsens on site. You can rent gear here too, but we went with Rhythm for the wider choice and better price. A special thanks to Moi, who was so kind and helpful when Yamato delayed our luggage. He went above and beyond to look after us. Thanks, Moi, and thanks, Chalet Ivy Hirafu. I'd highly recommend staying here in Niseko.

Even after I injured my ankle, the hotel helped out with regular ice delivered to the room and a trip to the nearest clinic. That support stood out during a stay in a place set up so well for skiing. You can rent skis on site, store them in ski lockers, warm boots in the boot room, and take regular buses up and down the hill. The rooms are large, the breakfast buffet has a huge selection, and guests can use both public and private onsens. The location in Hirafu is excellent for skiing. It's a premium price, but the convenience makes it worthwhile. I'd stay again.

Moi made our stay much smoother and more enjoyable. He looked after us for most of the time, greeting us in the morning and evening, sharing lots of local knowledge, arranging transfers and food boxes, and giving excellent recommendations. The service was just as good from the rest of the staff, and I'd come back for that alone. We were at Chalet Ivy at the start of the snow season. The location near the ski fields was incredible, with plenty of dining nearby, good hotel food, and a beautiful onsen. Thanks, Chalet Ivy. We'll be back.

Parking is right at the hotel, and it's an easy walk to Ace gondola or into town for food. The place has every amenity we could think of, including ski lockers and public and private onsens, with the private one costing 5k yen. The rooms have everything you need, and everyone was friendly. Breakfast was included and incredible. A must stay, all the stars.
