Ki Niseko

The restaurant was a highlight, with a great breakfast selection and a well-rounded dinner menu. We had excellent sushi, cooked fish, and dishes based on local vegetables. The spa and unseen were very nice, and I'd highly recommend Gaby for massage therapy. The hotel is perfectly placed near the hirafu gondola, with ski-in/ski-out access and great service in the ski and boot room. A great experience overall, and I'll definitely be back.

Great location and a brilliant hotel, I'd definitely recommend it. The staff were stupendous and really attentive. Bell boys Jens (Ice Man) and Jack deserve a special mention, they made the trip for us. We mostly dealt with Ray and Will at reception, and they were very good, with great recommendations for skiing and eating. Caleb, the goat in the bar, is a master of his craft and knows a lot about smelly whisky. The trip wouldn't have been complete without him.

Rhythm rentals is right across the street, and restaurants, bars, and shops are an easy 5-10 minute walk away. The gondola is about 100m from the hotel, so skiing in and out is convenient. The amenities were great, especially the ski concierge who brings your skis and boots each morning. There’s also a private 45-minute onsen for the day you check in, a public onsen, breakfast buffet every day, and an on-site restaurant and bar. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

The Concierge team was the highlight for us. They stayed in touch from booking onward, responded quickly, and could help with airport transfers and restaurant reservations. Almost everyone we dealt with spoke and wrote good English. Our room was the most basic one, facing the slopes. We didn’t expect to spend much time inside, but it was much smaller than we thought, though very clean. On arrival day, flight cancellations delayed us so badly that we missed both our airport transfer and restaurant booking. Evelyn from Concierge quickly rearranged things and organized a driver to collect us at the Hirafu welcome centre. It was a huge relief to have someone to call while we were stuck in the snow. The hotel has a ski valet and a lovely onsen. It’s ski-in, with a 2-3 minute walk out to the lifts, and we had a really good stay.
