I really enjoyed the onsen after a full day snowboarding, and the outdoor bath was wonderful. The breakfast was tasty with plenty of choices, but it began too late at 7:30. On opening, the queue was long enough that we didn't start eating until 7:50. For a hotel by the slopes, it should start earlier, and not offering takeaway breakfast was a big downside. The rooms were fairly large and clean, though they felt very old. I also saw bugs on the corridor floors several times. After a week here, I came away with a generally good experience, but the price still hurts. Maybe it's budget compared with other Niseko hotels, but it's still very expensive, and this isn't what I'd expect for that price. The gondola is close, about a five-minute walk up the road.

The onsen was a lovely surprise, and the massage chairs cost 100yen and were amazing. We also appreciated having breakfast included before a big day skiing. Three of us stayed in a traditional room. It was small, but the location was amazing. The place is a bit kooky and old, but that gives it character and it was great for what it is. The dry room is huge, though it could use a regular tidy and clean.

Coming back after a trouble-free stay two years ago, we expected things to go just as smoothly. This time was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. We had booked a room for four while travelling as five, and emailed ahead to ask about adding someone. We got no reply. Since another booking site showed the same room as allowing up to six, we figured we could ask in person. We arrived close to midnight in snow and -10°C weather, and politely asked receptionist Mr. Take if we could pay extra for another bed or stay together for the night. He insisted one of us had to leave, with no apparent understanding or flexibility. We had to scramble to find a nearby friend who could take one of us in. Then, before midnight, Mr. Take called to pressure us to “leave before 12” and pointed a camera at our door, saying it was “for evidence” in case he called the police. It was rude, offensive, and completely unprofessional. We felt treated like criminals, not guests. The lack of compassion and hospitality was unbelievable. I won't stay here again, and advise others to avoid it. There are plenty of hotels in Niseko that respect their customers, and one bad staff member can ruin a hotel's reputation.

We stayed nearly a week at this family-run hotel and will certainly come back. The staff were super helpful, and the breakfasts were superb, with homemade casseroles tailored to westerners. The rooms were a good size, and the ski storage and boot drying room were excellent and well laid out. I used the onsen twice a day. It was perfect, with a view of Yotei-yama. We loved this place!

The beds felt like pallets with sheets on top, and the pillows were about as comfortable as packaged concrete. The hotel was too warm almost everywhere, and getting the room to a comfortable temperature felt impossible. There were disgusting stains on the carpet in several places. It was a hard lesson in “you get what you pay for,” and I wouldn't stay again. There were some good points: the location was great, right in the middle of things and a short walk from the lifts. The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from, the staff were friendly except for the person who shamed me at check-in for being a solo traveler in a two-bed room, which was the only hotel-style room option. I was glad there was an onsite onsen.
