Ramat Niseko - Hostel

Michael, Tyler, Toni, and the rest of the team picked us up and made us feel like family from the start. They helped us get around, shared dining tips, served an awesome breakfast every day, and made our day at Rusutsu fantastic. The whole team was sensational. We’re already planning to come back.

The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and chatty. Breakfast was great, with lots of choice: toast, yogurt, muesli, porridge, tea and coffee, and fried eggs. The shared toilets were always clean, and the showers were hot. It was a letdown after a long day of skiing to see the large onsen sitting unused. The double rooms were clean and spacious by Japanese standards, though they really need coat hangers on the rails or hooks on the wall. The location is quiet and set back from the main road. We didn’t use the shuttle, but it sounds like a good service.

Ramat felt traditional, homey, and welcoming. The owners, workers, and their friends were all warm and hospitable, and our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was exactly what we needed to start the day, easily a 10/10. It was convenient to be right by the free shuttle stop, with great soup curry just down the road. We’ll definitely return. Thanks for having us!

Sue and Alan were wonderful hosts, so welcoming and keen to make everything as stress-free as possible. The lodge had a cozy, inviting feel, and we loved meeting other international skiers and snowboarders.
