That heated drying room next to the ski gear storage in the hallway was a real help. Being able to put on warm, dry ski boots each morning made a huge difference. The house is an easy walk to the ski fields, and there’s an onsen less than 100m up the road. After a big day skiing, I highly recommend it. You can get a beer from a vending machine and watch the snow fall while you soak. I went with six friends, and there was plenty of room. I’d be just as happy recommending it to families with kids. The rooms are spacious, clean, heated, and done in a modern minimalist style, with clean Japanese-style bathrooms. From the windows you can see the snow-topped mountains. The kitchen has what you need for a cozy meal in. It felt comfortable and relaxed, like a home away from home. Loved staying here, and I’ll be back.

We really enjoyed the daily private car ride up to the slopes, and there’s a traditional onsen just a couple of doors away. Yukisawa house, where we stayed in March 2019, is a cozy chalet in Hirafu village with heated floors and luxury furnishings. We’ve tried quite a few places, and this is our favorite ski house so far. Thanks for a great stay!
