We booked all three rooms on the 8th floor for our family. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the beds comfortable. The reception space is small, with lockable racks where you can leave luggage. There’s also a laundry area in the lobby with one washer-dryer.

Our family of four, including two teenagers, found the room comfortable. Staff were very friendly, and our three nights in Kyoto were lovely. The location was convenient for walking to the main areas, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The metro station wasn’t too far either.

It was spacious, at least. The room smelled musty, the beds were really hard, there was no complimentary water, and the sofa had stains all over it.

There was enough floor space in our Kyoto room to leave two large suitcases open, which is hard to come by in Japan. Really good room size.
