The rooms are lovely, modern and clean. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and easy to reach on foot from Kyoto Station.

The check-in desk is somewhere else, and that wasn’t mentioned until after I’d booked. It’s about a 25-minute walk from Kyoto Station, so we ended up taking a taxi, and it’s not convenient for getting around. The website gave the wrong location and bus stop information. The place also felt dirty in general. They seem to use black carpet, tiles and desks to hide stains.

I liked being able to do laundry for free, and the neighborhood was calm. But the electronic sounds got annoying, especially at night and in the morning. The door locks made noise, and the elevator talks.

The location was great, with the station and a subway line both within walking distance. There’s a McDonald’s and a 7/11 less than five minutes away, and Gion-Shijo is just one stop away. I’d stay here again.
