After walking around nearby and visiting the temple, this was a lovely quiet place to take a break. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was cool and peaceful. There’s a nice garden right beside it, which adds to the relaxed feel. The staff welcomed us warmly and chatted about where we were from. It was a nice change from the more touristy spots around the Kiyomizu-dera temple site. I didn’t find it especially expensive compared with other places in Kyoto, but even if it was, we were on holiday and happy to spend a little more at an independently run place.

After two hours wandering around the neighborhood, I was glad to find this quiet little oasis and have an iced latte. My wife said her Nyumen was tasty.

The garden view from the counter is lovely while you eat. The keema curry was delicious, and the owner was very kind. The waitress is very pretty too.
