A good budget option. My room was basic, with a futon mattress on the floor, which won’t suit everyone, but I found it comfortable and had everything I needed. The facilities were wonderfully clean. There were children around, so it seemed family friendly.

We spent a full week here as a family and really enjoyed it. The staff were kind and helpful, and the owners were especially friendly. We also joined a sushi workshop and had a great time. The common room and kitchen are practical and nicely laid out. It can get noisy there when it’s busy, but that didn’t bother us. We liked discovering the area’s restaurants in the evenings, and there’s a lovely public bath within walking distance. Bus stops and supermarkets are nearby too, as others have mentioned. A nice experience for us.

The rooms are a little small, which is common, and it didn’t affect our stay. We did notice a slight musty smell when we first went in, so we opened the window to air the room out. The hosts were both very kind, and even helped us figure out the washer. We were pleasantly surprised by the shared bathing facilities, which were clean and well maintained. The first-floor common area is spacious and has everything you need, and the bedrooms were comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere made us feel at ease.

The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help, including sharing tips for local spots and things to do. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with a simple design that suited Kyoto’s calm atmosphere. The whole place felt cozy and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Renting bikes made it easy and fun to get around, and yoga sessions were a peaceful way to unwind after sightseeing. Fujitaya BnB Bike & Yoga in Kyoto is a lovely mix of relaxation and activity, and a great choice if you’re looking for a stay that feels a little different and restorative. Highly recommended!
