The terrace laundry service was a nice extra, and the stay felt worth the price. Our room at LARK ivy was clean and cozy, with everything from a fridge and stovetop to a microwave and even a rice cooker. The staff at check-in were kind and helpful, explained things clearly, and suggested nearby places. I'd happily come back.

The quiet residential setting suited us, even if it lacks the bustle of Kawaramachi and may feel a little far for some. There's a bus stop in front of Nishi Honganji Temple with a direct ride to Arashiyama, and Kyoto Station is a short walk away. Lawson is right at the entrance to the alley. For the price, I really can't complain. Having a kitchenette is especially handy for a stay of several days.
