The house was great, and we’d definitely stay again. It came with bikes, pocket wifi, samurai armor, and nice paintings and woodblock prints. There was plenty of room for four North American adults and a baby. The tatami bedroom was comfortable, both bedrooms had their own air-conditioning and heating, and the washer-dryer made it easy to deal with our travel clothes. The kitchen was handy for making breakfast and packing lunch. Getting around from the central location was easy, though reaching the house can be difficult. It’s on a walking-only street about 4' wide, which is typical in Japan.

The owner was very hospitable and responsible. The place is compact, but arranged well enough to feel comfortable. There’s a complete manual explaining how to use the items and offering guidance for enjoying Kyoto. We had a great time staying here. It’s not far from Kyoto Station, and you can walk, take the subway or train for just one station, or use the bus.

E-nine was a cozy, comfortable base for a week in Japan with three other people. We appreciated the bikes guests could borrow, and the interior was nicely decorated. There are good restaurants nearby, and despite the language barrier, the restaurant staff were kind and helpful. It was a lovely week, and I hope I can return someday. The place is close to Kyoto station.

It’s a really neat, clean, well-organized place inside. This old traditional Japanese home is very cool. Don’t be put off by the street it’s on, even though there’s lots of "stuff" out there.

The house was clean, with a good-sized living area and comfortable rooms. It’s an easy walk from the station, and there’s a Lawsons, 7 11, and a local supermarket nearby.
