Guest house KOTONE KYOTO

We stayed four days. The hosts were very welcoming and offered to take us to places to see cherry blossoms. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the train and bus stations are a 10-15-minute walk away.

It’s a ten-minute walk from Nishikyogoku Station. The room was clean and had no unpleasant smell, but it was simple, with just shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. There were no basic cosmetics, and the windows had no screens, so I couldn’t ventilate the room. There wasn’t anyone at reception when I arrived, but after I rang the bell, someone came from the back to help. There’s a smoking area right outside the entrance.

The room had a small terrace and its own bathroom, while the toilet was outside. Each room has a separate toilet for its own use, and it was clean and good. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with Lawson Market nearby. It’s a five-minute walk to the bus stop and ten minutes to the train station. The owner was really nice and helped us with everything we needed. Recommended.

Watanabe-san was a wonderful host, and we lacked for nothing. The accommodation is a little outside the city center, which is about the only possible criticism. Still, the nearest station is just a ten-minute walk away, and Kyoto’s center is another ten minutes from there. We wish Watanabe-san continued success and many more lovely guests. Definitely pay him a visit! :)
