The host knows Kyoto’s attractions well, and the team were extremely helpful and spoke English really well. The place was spotless and organized, and you can tell there’s a lot of care put into it. Have a chat in the main lobby, you can learn a lot from the host and staff. It’s close to many popular sights, easy to reach on foot or just one train stop from Kyoto main station. I’d definitely come back. Kudos to the team for their passion.

The staff gave great service, and the stay was excellent value. It’s a little way from the historic center, but the bus takes about 20 minutes. There’s also a station three minutes away, so getting to central Kyoto station is quick. I’d definitely stay again if I get the chance.

A quick public service announcement after my stay: if you snore, don’t stay in a hostel. It’s selfish to keep everyone else awake. I’m never staying in one again. I’m tired of people ruining other guests’ sleep. This wasn’t the best hostel, though I’ve been to worse. The rooms were decent, the AC got nice and cold, and the place seemed clean. Staff were very friendly. The only smell was from another selfish person who couldn’t wash their feet or put their socks in a bag.

The staff are happy to chat and will do what they can to meet your needs. Rooms were good, the showers were really warm, and there’s a TV and computers in the lobby. Nothing to complain about.

They treat you like family, which is a real plus, and the price was right for a budget stay. The people were very kind. It’s pretty much what you’d expect from a hostel, though the spaces are very small and cramped, and the location isn’t great.
